I can’t believe it… 3 years and a bit in Canberra, I’ve only found out about this shop. I’ve driven past the street so many times since I live close by but I never look to the side of the street where the shop is until last week or so. When I mentioned it to an Indonesian friend, she said the shop is owned by a fellow Indonesian. So, I made a quick visit earlier this afternoon to check out their stock and prices. Happy to say it carries quite a number of Indonesian snacks that no other asian groceries stores in Canberra seems to stock. The price is also quite cheaper compare to some other shops in busier area too. Their vegetables seem fresher too (they have fresh vegies on Tuesday and Friday). The shop also has translation of products written in other language into roman-character equivalent underneath the item… funny but definitely useful. The owner straight away identified me as someone coming from Indonesia because I carried a popular brand of Indonesian sweets/snacks, the hottest chilli I can find in the shop and Indonesian sweet bottled jasmine tea (teh botol) to the register… Can’t help it that I am so obvious. I am glad to find it, and I guess I’ll just have to visit often. Here it is… Ah Chu Asian Provisions – Asian Grocery‎ 7/67 Townshend St, PHILLIP ACT 2606 View Larger Map They claim to be the oldest Asian grocery store in Canberra. So.. you Canberra peepz… please pay them a visit!

Ok, I think I mentioned in my very first post on this website.. that I will not be able to keep blogging. Previous to this, I attempted blogging several times and failed miserably. My last post before this is July. There is a couple of hidden post but not much. Since then I have been very busy with… work, family, friends, and other social commitments. I went to Japan last month. Took thousands of photos. I was planning to post my experience but never got around to it. We got lost, got culture shock, lots of fun, made new friends amongst other things…I might… someday… My boyfriend bought me a wii, I am kinda hooked up with RPG games AGAIN! I was madly in love if Genso Suikoden, Final Fantasy VII onwards and numerous other RPGs (on PS1 and PS2) before. Two of my friends whom I really fond of (we were very close when we were still students) got married. Unfortunately I can only attend only one of the wedding because I was in Japan when the other got married. Congratulations to you both. I wish you both and your husbands a really happy and blessed marriage life. Dozens of my friends and acquintances got engaged, married, pregnant or popped out some babies. My facebook is saturated with these status updates, messages, events, photos and movies. Must be around that time of the year… My best wishes to all of them. A dear friend of mine just lost her mother and sister within a couple of months. My prayers and love with her. I am sure everything will pick up for her in the coming months, years… and hopefully forever really!! I didn’t get much time to work on my websites… so twanswers is currently broken. I am losing page rank and visitors on a number of sites. Even patriciachan.com is suddenly not compatible with a number of browser. The good thing is, google is still paying me some money . I hardly had one continuous relaxing weekend in Canberra. I have been travelling (internationally and interstate) a lot.. for holiday.. for wedding.. for birthdays and other celebrations.. for work.. and playing guides in Sydney to a lovely family we met in Japan. I also learnt that life is short and precious, so… Live your life to the fullest, get out and experience new things or you’ll never know what you’ve been missing. Be content and grateful for what you have but do not settle for second best. Do not dwell in the past, leave the toxic friends behind, and move on. They do not deserve your friendship. Express your love and do not take the people you love for granted. To love is the best gift you can have and give. Love the bunny

It’s cold in the Nation Capital today. Yesterday the news said it will top 13 degree Celsius today. This morning the radio told me it will be 10 degree max. It’s windy too. It’s only April. Autumn is not over yet. Winter lasts for about 6-7 months in Canberra. I am worried that if I start wearing my winter gear now, how many layer of clothings should I wear in Winter to be comfortably warm?
