Talking about games, gamification and what I am working on at the moment

Of late, I have been working more and more in the gamification area with QuestaGame. I am finding it getting more and more important in human-computer-interaction, eLearning and marketing. Gamification is the use of game thinking and game mechanics in a non-game context in order to engage users and solve problems (source: wikipedia). I have always been a gamer, whether it’s traditional game you play as a kid on the field, or video games. I remember when I was younger, I would gamify almost everything to make it fun....

Taking choices for granted

Choice = Privilege. More often than not, I found that I don't persevere enough, simply because I have choice. If things get too hard, I stop. If I hate my job, I'll move on. If I am on diet and got hungry, I eat =( But then again, how many of us have unfinished projects, forgotten dreams? If we, the privileged ones, have the perseverance of the unprivileged people, we would definitely achieve so much more.. and no doubt, the world will be a better place. Too bad, most...

Ladies and Gentlemen, Anime Indo International Reunion 2011

About 2 weeks ago, I blogged about my interest in Japanese Manga and Anime art and our online community, here. My blog post was automatically posted to twitter and facebook. That piqued some interest from ex Anindo members who are following my tweets and/or in my facebook friends list. They then told their friends who in turn tell their friends about the blog post. The ex-Founder suggested that we created a tribute to Anindo. So I did. I re-activated Anindo.net and uploaded all the impromanga files and some artworks...

Just little shards of forgotten dreams.. and a tribute to Anime Indo International (ANINDO)

When I was younger… much younger.. I used to to draw Japanese manga/anime style. Japanese comic took Indonesia by the storm starting from around late 80s. There are thousands of aspiring comic artists, illustrators and animators in Indonesia. They (we) are all young, foolish, eager and full of dreams.
