..and no, I hope this blog won’t die.. not just yet. In no particular order, here’s the reasons why I haven’t been blogging for a while: I am / I can’t / I don’t / I… am computer-less. I gave my one-month-old state-of-the-art computer to my bunny because work just gave me one. I thought I don’t need that computer. A month later, I quit my job for a new job. can’t blog at work!! I have strong work ethic (a.k.a still too new, hence harbouring guilty feelings) BUSY AT WORK!!! can’t use my current phone to blog. I dropped it in a toilet in Tokyo Tower in 2009. It has since been in a ‘dying’ state. My bunny bought me that phone, so I am too sentimental to replace it. It’s ok… the phone was dropped after the toilet’s been flushed. am waiting for my new macbook pro to arrive so I can blog on a decent machine. The evil Apple decided to the release a new line of macbook pro 1.5 months after I placed my order. So all stock was withheld. The good thing is I am getting bumped to the new line. The bad thing is.. I’ve been waiting forever for it (2 months, to date). am trying to resurrect my diet for the gazillion times. I still need to lose some baby fat. don’t have enough beauty sleep. So trying my best to catch up. am cleaning the house. have been trying to go to the gym that I joined for some months but don’t go enough. haven’t finished those Asian dramas on Viki and MySoju. am concocting some evil plans. have been sick (passing virus to each other for the past few weeks). said evil plans involving me wanting to redesign my blog / portfolio / other websites, but can’t because of reason 1 and 5. don’t know what to blog… or how to make a grad re-entrance to the blogging world. am thinking of drawing again. am too busy because of the aforementioned reasons OK, I lied… I am probably just lazy. just got ENGAGED to my Bunny this year! Now trying to decide what to do for our wedding.. or should we just elope to Vegas. OK, the real reason is… ALL OF THE ABOVE! p.s. Picture of P-chan serves no reason whatsoever other than to make this entry a little bit interesting.

Australian’s national budget was released last night. I am particularly interested in this part of the budget: The Australian Government has announced that the First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) Boost will be extended for another 6 months. However it will be phased out in December 2009. The boost will also be reduced by half after 3 months of the extension period. For eligible buyers entering into a contract between 1 July 2009 and 30 September 2009 (inclusive), the FHOG will be $14,000 for established homes and $21,000 for new homes. For eligible buyers entering into a contract between 1 October 2009 and 31 December 2009 (inclusive), the FHOG will be $10,500 for established homes and $14,000 for new homes.
Welcome to my personal space on the web. Finally after redesigning and redesigning and redesigning… it is ONLINE!! I have decided to use wordpress as the content management system for this website because it allows me to quickly update the site. I do not have very good history with blogging. I tend to lost interest after a few posts. So to begin with, I can not promise to make this website a blog. However, if for some reason I manage to regularly write interesting stuff (on anything), I will give myself a good pat on the back. I may have to use one of those backrub stick. I like wordpress because the application is very robust and flexible. It is no longer just a blogging (writing) software. You can insert image, movies, media files, etc on the fly. You can also use wordpress to create any type of websites. If you allow more than one user to ‘blog’, you can create a forum/community site. There is a shopping cart plugins you can use to convert your site to a simple eCommerce website. OK, I’ll admit, mainly because I am lazy. If I can quickly; switch the look and feel of my website, add cool interactivity that would normally take me ages to design, code and test from scratch, and easily integrate so many features and/or other websites use designs and plugins other (better) designers and developers out there have made available .. why would I spend so much time hand-coding it. Internet add-ons are so advanced nowadays that I do not have to worry about ‘crappy’ looking designs or buggy codes. All you need to do is just pick one that fit 80% of your need and do a bit of modifications. The best thing of all, it’s open source. You can always customise it. Now I have more time to concentrate on creating high-quality personalised design solutions for you. So, do contact me if you need help.
