The drama with @virginaustralia velocity points retro claim continues.. unfortunately..

Sorry readers that I’ve been ranting about these issues for the past few posts. I need a place to vent and document my experience. Where else except my own blog? I wrote a long blog about why I think buying a code-share Virgin Australia/Singapore Airlines flight is not a good idea, followed by my issue with Virgin Retro claims processing for those flights. Unfortunately, the drama still continues . Today, 2 weeks after 18 April, I saw the following flight credited to my Velocity Accounts, which I have never...

Problems with @virginaustralia retro claim processing

A follow up on the blog post I made about my drama for booking and flying on VA/SQ codeshare flights to South East Asia early this month. On 9 April 2013, I made a retro claim by phone for my VA coded flights CBR-SYD, SYD-SIN. On 11 April 2013, I made a retro claim by email (with etickets attached) for all my VA coded flights CBR-SYD, SYD-SIN, SIN-SYD, SYD-CBR. Reasons why I would never book @virginaustralia and @singaporeair codeshare flight ever again..

Warning, long blog post… (I don’t check my grammar and spelling either) Let me preface this blog post by saying as at the moment Virgin Australia is still my favourite domestic airline in Australia. However, my recent flights to Asia on VA/SQ codeshare flights seriously caused me to want to scream and...

Google is now available in Balinese

Another shoutout for the awesome people at BASAbali. They recently completed the work to launch google in Balinese. With many thanks to Google and the 45 linguists and students from Udayana, Dwijendra and Balai Bahasa who worked with us to translate the 7500 phrases needed for the Google home page and its sub-menus, Google Balinese now joins Google Javanese and Google Indonesia. Please go to the Google Indonesia (www.google.co.id), and select Google in click often, and make it your home page to encourage Google to continue supporting programs which...

Photos from Transformers Exhibition in Taipei, lots of awesome robot concept arts

On my last trip to Taipei in December, I manage to slot in a visit to the Taipei Science Museum (National Taiwan Science Education Centre). To my geek delight, the Transformers Exhibition is on. Giant Bumblebee!!! Big As Optimus Prime and the Menacing Megatron! Geek-o-gasm galore!!! So here’s another set of crappy photos taken using iPhone 4. My favourites are actually the concept arts. Perhaps it’s the old anime artist in me. I found them so awesomely detailed – renewed my respect of the Japanese creativism. If you are...
