Pleasantly Surprised with Virgin Australia Service Canberra-Perth via Sydney

So, I went to Perth last weekend. The last time I flew there was almost 2 years ago. I’ve caught a lot of domestic flights (Virgin and Qantas) on the East Coast, but not coast to coast. I took Virgin from Canberra to Perth via Sydney. On the way back, I took Qantas direct flight from Perth to Canberra. Anyway.. Virgin, budget carrier, no expectation, but.. I was surprised when they fed us on the way to Sydney. Apparently flights between 4pm-7pm, to and from Canberra, Melbourne and...

A taste of Hawaii, part 1

Found! Asian Grocery Shop in Canberra run by Indonesian

I can’t believe it… 3 years and a bit in Canberra, I’ve only found out about this shop. I’ve driven past the street so many times since I live close by but I never look to the side of the street where the shop is until last week or so. When I mentioned it to an Indonesian friend, she said the shop is owned by a fellow Indonesian. So, I made a quick visit earlier this afternoon to check out their stock and prices. Happy to say it carries quite a number of...
