On the news since last week is the Chk chk Boom Chick, Clare Weberloff. Here is the video that shoots her to fame:
Since then there has been video remix about her, t-shirts, mugs, facebook groups, Radio & TV offers, etc.
What do you think? Does she deserve the fame? The latest news is she got offered a job by Channel 9.
I personally think she deserves the fame (no matter how long it would last) for these reasons (IMHO):
She doesn’t annoy me when I saw her on the telly like some others ‘accidental’ stars (think Corey Delaney, the party animal or the inmate, Schapelle Corby).
I also don’t think that she did anything wrong. She made up stories to the media but not to the police. She admitted to the police that she is not an eye witness to the shooting.
She is awesome to be able to quickly spun that catchy stories. Contrary to what some people said, I don’t think she’s racist. She doesn’t look like she’s demeaning anyone when she said ‘wog’
She is not ugly or looking like she’s trying too hard, in fact I think she looks quite down to earth about her look.
So good luck to Clare and it’s really good to hear an entertaining story about ‘accidental star’ who is not annoying like Corey Delaney or Schapelle Corby (I won’t get into the discussion whether she’s guilty or not, or if she deserves what she got, but the media is getting saturated about the same stuff about her).
