Why do we want to have a lot of twitter followers?

If you are a business person or a sales person you would already know about conversion rate. The basic of sales is number game. The more customers or visitors come to your shop, the higher chance of you making a sale.
For example, if you have 10% conversion rate, and you have 100 people visiting your shop in a day, on average, you will be making 10 sale. You can then increase the sales by
- increase the number of visitor/traffic
- increase the conversion rate (e.g. to 20%) – which we will cover another time.
Twitter is the same. If you are marketing your website/products/services to more twitter followers without increasing your conversion rate, you can increase sale/website visitor or whatever item you are marketing.
Advertising $$$
Did you know that people will pay you to tweet? Depending on how many followers you have, you can increase your advertising fee. If you are a blogger, a web advertiser or a reviewer, you can use both your websites/blogs and twitter account to promote product and services.
